Geremus Trio

Nicolas Geremus was born in 1959 in Munich, he got his first violin lessons at the early age of 6. His talent and passion for music brought him to the Munich University of Music in 1975, and then to the Vienna University of Music.

Since 1986 he is first violinist of the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra, and Primarius of the „Johann Strauss Quartett“ Vienna since 1996. He is not only composing Jazz and classical works, like whole orchestra symphonies, but is also working on pop compositions. Even though he was characterized by classic music from childhood onwards, he nevertheless developed a passion for other styles of music as well, especially Jazz. He founded the „Geremus Trio“, a Jazz-Formation presenting Jazz standards of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grapelli and their contemporaries.

Nicolas Geremus and is one of the founding members of the Ambassade Orchestra Vienna. Moreover, Nicolas Geremus has performed concerts with nearly every super star in the world.
